Are treatments available?

Yes, there are treatments available for shingles.

The severity of shingles varies from person to person and some people
will require treatment to help ease the symptoms of shingles.

If you think you've developed shingles, see your GP as soon as possible.
Early treatment may help reduce the severity of your symptoms and the risk
of developing complications. Your GP may prescribe painkilling medication
or antiviral medication.
